The Moscow International Family Festival Mother and Baby Academy’2012 was successfully launched at Expocentre Fairgrounds
April 25, Expocentre Fairgrounds hosted the opening ceremony of the Moscow International Family Festival Mother and Baby Academy – MBA’2012.
The Festival is held at Expocentre Fairgrounds for the first time. 91 companies from Germany, India, Latvia, Portugal, Russia, France and Japan will represent their products for babies and expectant mothers.
Mikhail Tolkachev, the Deputy General Director Expocentre, welcomed all the guests and participants and expressed gratitude to the organizations, with assistance of which the Festival is being held – the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Moscow City Government, the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, and the Association of the Children’s Goods Industry. Special thanks to the Department of Family and Youth Policy of Moscow, which rendered assistance and support in the implementation of this project.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation eagerly seconded the idea and concept of the project, noted Igor Korotin, the Director of the Department for Exhibition, Trade Fair and Convention Activities of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the business community, the government and the Russian Federation always consider the problem of family support and children protection to be the most important. The CCI established the Fund for the protection of street children, which does difficult, but very important and necessary work.
The representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed confidence that the participants of the Moscow International Family Festival, held at the exhibition venue of Expocentre Fairgrounds, will obtain great satisfaction and achieve beneficial business results.
Child safety is one of the main topics of the Festival. Maksim Belugin, the Deputy Head of the Department of Road Traffic Safety Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, appeal to the attendees to do everything necessary to ensure the transportation safety of children. He thanked the organizers of the Festival MBA’2012 for the Traffic School held within the Festival.
The “Risk Free Road Traffic” public organization will conduct a number of events devoted to this important theme within the Festival MBA’2012, said its President Natalia Agre.
Antonina Tsitsulina, the President of the Association of Children Goods Industry, stressed in her speech that the Moscow International Family Festival Mother and Baby Academy – MBA’2012 is the timely and important event: it gives the opportunity to learn, what parents are interested in and what children need. In the game zone of the exhibition the small participants of the festival will be able to vote for any toy or a game independently, without the help of the parents. The winner will be awarded with the Kid’s quality mark.
About 80 thematic events for parents and expectant mothers and children up to 10 years will be held within the Festival.
The exhibition MBA’2012 is a perfect platform to unite not only the professionals, but also the whole civil society, noted N. I. Komarova, the Principal Counsellor of the Ministry for Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
Boris Altshuler, the Deputy Chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on Social Policy, Labour Relations and Quality of Life of Citizens, highly appreciated the new project in his welcoming address. He expressed confidence that the Festival will become an impetus for the coordination of the efforts, and the elaborated recommendations will be put into practice.
